This Privacy Policy (“the Policy”) explains how your personal data is collected, used and shared when your employing institution or organisation subscribes to Cloudaloud Education (“CE”).

Collecting personal data
When you use Cloudaloud Education’s audiobook platform, website, and Resources Hub, we collect information about your user behaviour exclusively for the purpose of improving and enhancing user experience through Shopify data analytics.

Cloudaloud Education will never sell, lease, or distribute your data to a third party.

The only data held by CE for subscribers is their email address and name of institution. Password information is encrypted and cannot be accessed by anyone other than the end user, who can reset their password at any time. Account data is held and managed by MailChimp, in compliance with GDPR, which shares user access information with the CE website and app via encrypted channels.

Account Information and Employment Information together comprise “Personal Data”.

Using personal data
Personal data is used to grant access to CE’s suite of products, and to keep a client account history viewable by the user. This includes maintaining user history within your account settings.

We also use your personal information to:
• communicate with you directly regarding issues with your account;
• screen for potential fraudulent usage;
• ensure all usage is compliant with territory restrictions;
• save download information to your account;
• contact users who have opted to receive our newsletter; and
• analyse how users engage with the CE website, to continue improving user experience.

Sharing personal data
We will NEVER sell, lease, or distribute your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes. We only use your data to communicate with you directly regarding your account, or if you have opted to receive our newsletter.

General Data Protection Regulation
Cloudaloud Education responsibly collects, processes, and protects all user data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR”).

As a user, you have the right to request and access the personal data we hold about you under GDPR UK. You may ask that your personal data be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you wish to exercise this right, please contact us at info@cloudaloudeducation.co.uk.

Please understand that without the collection and use of personal data, we will be unable to grant access to CE’s suite of products.

CE understands the “account holder” to be the institution or organisation subscribing to the service, and the “account user” to be an adult over 18 years of age actively employed by the account holder. In accordance with GDPR UK, this Policy recognises the age of digital user age requirement of 13 years, when the child possesses legally recognized commercial media literacy and the capacity for giving consent to have his/her data processed.

Changes to the Policy
From time to time, we may make changes to the Policy. Your continued use of the service following the implementation of these changes qualifies as your consent and agreement to uphold and be bound by them.
